“I do a lot of volunteering and now I can spend more time giving back to the community.” – John Zorzi
A former math teacher, John ran the numbers and discovered that living at Homestead at Hamilton was a great value.
“Here the only bill I have is my phone bill. Television, internet, utilities, even food is all covered in your rent.”
Before moving to Homestead, John lived in a four-bedroom house and had accumulated more than 50 years’ worth of ‘stuff.’ With all his volunteer activities, he felt his time would be better spent downsizing to a smaller apartment where he had fewer responsibilities.
John appreciates all the services provided at Homestead, particularly the multiple dining options and housekeeping. “I just spent a couple of days at the beach and when I got back my apartment was all clean and looking sharp,” he said.
He is surprised by all of the programs and events offered at Homestead. “Three dining rooms, two theatres, libraries, an exercise room, art studio, a convenience store…there’s anything you want to do here,’ he said, “It’s great. My buddies say I don’t look stressed anymore!”
“Plus I like that it’s a rental community. There’s no big upfront fee. You don’t have to be a math teacher to know it makes sense.”
