Homestead at Hamilton offers multiple levels of care. Similar to a continuing care retirement community, also known as a CCRC, we’re designed to cover care needs for residents today – and when their health changes in the future.

The Terrace at Homestead neighborhood provides enhanced care for assisted living residents who need a higher level of support with more personalized team member attention. A Continuum of Care

“Homestead at Hamilton welcomed my mom, Sarah, from the moment she entered their doors. They take care of her medications; nutritional needs and they are very attentive and kindhearted. Homestead provides a safe,
bright, clean and friendly home for Mom. Our family is forever grateful for their gracious and gentle care.”

What’s the difference between a continuing care retirement community and assisted living?

A multi-level care community or CCRC is best characterized by offering more than two levels of care, which may include independent living, assisted living, memory care and more. The concept is that you may access these different levels of care as you need them, which gives you peace of mind and allows you to live in one place and may not need to move again.

Assisted living is a specific type of senior living care. With assisted living, you can receive daily help with tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating and more. At the same time, assisted living communities provide access to convenient amenities that allow residents to pursue their interests and thrive.

At Homestead at Hamilton, we offer assisted living as one of our care levels. We give you the best of both worlds: all-inclusive assisted living, with the possibility to switch to another level of care in the future.

Do CCRCs and multi-level care communities in NJ take Medicare?

It’s important to keep in mind that Medicare doesn’t cover the costs of residency or assisted living care. While your doctor’s appointments and treatments will be covered by Medicare, the other aspects of living such as housing, daily assistance, long-term care needs, etc. won’t be covered. For this reason, Medicare won’t pay for living at a senior living community.

Can family and friends visit me?

Absolutely! At our senior living community, we welcome the family members and friends of our residents. We hope that you’ll invite your loved ones to spend time with you and get to know our community.
